Based in Richmond, British Columbia, we are a student-led initiative dedicated to empowering youth through peer education. We believe learning thrives when students share their knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm with one another.
Our story and inspiration
Learning Connect was created to give students an open platform to channel their knowledge and creativity into meaningful teaching. By designing their own syllabi, preparing interactive slides, and making complex topics easy to understand, student tutors and teachers gain invaluable leadership skills while providing free, accessible learning opportunities across our community.
The power of peer-to-peer learning
Learning from another student removes the intimidation often felt in traditional academic settings. Our peer tutors foster a supportive space where learners feel confident asking questions and taking risks. This shared bond creates a positive feedback loop, boosting academic confidence.
